Poisoned Generations

A story about a rat preparing for war. How do we justify the necessity of war when we must pay such a high price? I wanted to show the ratmen as a highly intelligent and empathetic species, in contrast with some other interpretations of humanoid rats notlookingatanyoneinparticular *cough* . How does ratmen culture view family? How do they react to the loss of their loved ones? That's what I'm interested in. I intentionally used "our" instead of "my" when characters are talking about family members because in my mind the self is heavily intertwined with the collective family, the brood for a ratman (ratwoman? ratperson?).

Yeah I'm curious how this will hold up when the faction guides are released. But I was inspired by the little information revealed by OPA and decided to spin my own vision of the ratmen world. Thanks for reading!
